2025 Orchard Lake Cardinals Football & Cheer

Welcome to Orchard Lake Cardinals Football & Cheer! Home of the 2021 & 2022 MYFCC Varsity champions, and the 2022 MYFCC Freshman champions, and the 2023 Varsity, JV, and Junior Freshman Championship Runner-ups! In 2024 we transitioned to the Boys and Girls Club 3C Sports league where we remained competitive on all levels. Our 12U Cheer team took 1st place in the local cheer competition and went on to place 2nd nationally in Florida!

For the 2025 season, we have transitioned to a new league, the Boys and Girls Club 3C Sports league:

  • We have five (5) football divisions: 6u (5 & 6yo), 8u (7&8yo); 10u (9&10yo), 12u (11&12yo); and 14u (13&14yo)
  • Players must be the required division age by August 1st of the season calendar year.
  • Players may move up 1 level, but cannot play below their age range. Once a player moves up on registration, they cannot move back down.
  • This is a non-weighted league
  • Optional but highly encouraged off season conditioning will begin in April and will be communicated via email.
  • Season dates for mandatory practices & games begin in July - End of October with uniform & equipment return to follow.
  • Additional Fees: $150 equipment deposit and $100 volunteer deposit, to be returned at the end of the season pending good standing.
  • All families required to participate in team-wide fundraiser event with $150 per family as the fundraising goal.
  • Championship games are played at Ford Field, home of the Detroit Lions
  • Invite-only post season games played on a national level

Cheerleaders must be between the ages of 6 and 14 by August 1st, with some 5 year old as mascots. There is no weight limit but must be physically able to participate in stunts, flips, and other movements plus endure 2+ hours of practicing and side line cheer in all temps and weather conditions, lightning and thunder excluded. Cheerleaders can expect to participate in a pre-season showcase and an in season competition - date TBD.
